The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete life cycle management of TripSpark’s ITS implementations. They will be responsible for ensuring that the project runs smoothly, on time and on budget, and that the customer is fully satisfied with the technology. This position involves a critical component of change management with the customer and their staff to ensure full buy-in of the solution. In addition, the successful candidate must manage multiple stakeholders of the project, including customers, internal staff members, contractors, installers and other city planners. This role serves as the primary liaison between company and customer and will require frequent travel to customer sites – candidates should indicate if they have any reasons they cannot travel for work to/from Canada and the United States.
Managing the entire deployment process from kick-off to completion including task assignment, timeline creation, risk assessment and mitigation, and milestone billing/invoicing
Managing customer expectations and contractual obligations
Creating statement of work documents for each project and ensuring adherence to scope during project implementation
Ensuring adherence to project schedule and budget
Managing an internal project team consisting of engineers, developers and technicians
Acting as a liaison between the customer and TripSpark staff
Facilitating change management to ensure “buy-in” of our technology by all stakeholders
Scheduling and managing work done by 3rd party contractors
On site travel to customer sites for critical project phases including pilot and go-live
Participating in the preparation and on site delivery of request for proposal (RFP) presentations as a project management expert
The successful candidate must have a mix of technical and interpersonal skills to ensure a smooth project implementation. Typically the successful candidate will require one to three years of technology/project management experience and/or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology or engineering. As well the successful candidate should have excellent customer service skills including a patient courteous manner and a clear voice.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of public transportation industry a bonus
Ownership of issues through resolution
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Equipment and Applications:
PMP or other professional project management designation would be considered an asset.
